It all started one night when Kory woke up complaining of sharp pain in his back and side. I didn't think anything of it until he decided to go to the emergency room. Anyone who knew Kory knows that for him to go to the hospital it had to be serious. He hated hospitals but he hated needles even more. He knew that if he went to the hospital there was a good chance that he would have to get an IV and he did not like that. So he went on to the hospital and I waited at home for my mom to come pick up the kids. Once the kids were gone I went and met him at the hospital. He already had his IV in (and yes he did cry, and didn't have a problem telling everyone either)and they had given him pain medicine. Also by that time the doctor was sure it was a kidney stone; they just didn't know if he had passed it yet. We waited for the nurse to take him to get a CT scan so they could see if the stone had passed or was still there. Finally the nurse came and took us to the back. Once the CT was done we went back to his room and waited for the results.
