The next four days went by with no complications but little progress. On the morning of October 20th things were the same as they had been. I left to bring Paisley to school, when I got home Kory was still in the chair but he was awake and watching TV. About an hour later he got up (on his own, which was a little unusual because he needed my help to get out of the chair) and went lay in bed. A few minutes later I went to check on him and he was taking his last few breaths. I won't go into detail but the EMTs worked on him for a while but were unable to revive him.
